THE NOBLE SOCIETY

The Noble Society is founded on a set of principles that extend the core principles to society and a set of cohesive frameworks that practically implements these principles.

These provide a formal way for citizens to engage with each other in a manner that upholds the core principles and brings out the best in people so that society can function optimally in unity, peace and happiness.

Principles of The Noble Society

  • There is a social network in which every citizen and guest of the Nation has membership. This social network provides secure and verified Identity to all Citizens. This social network implements the principles of Privacy, Association, Social Merit, Social Credit and encourages all participants to minimize social entropy through love, compassion and appreciation.
    This social network, in formal session, limited to adult Citizens of the Nation, constitutes the Peoples Assembly, which is the legislative branch of the Noble Government.

    This social network is a platform through which all functions of the Noble Government, Society and Economy is accessed and executed. Private Entities may also adopt this platform to provide services.
    Therby, this social network is the platform on which the National Education Framework, all National Markets as well as the National Service Delivery System operate on.
    This social network provides a trusted, secure, private and auditable means of rich communications between Persons.

    Whilst Persons are entitled and encouraged to fully participate in this network so as to fully gain its benefits and privileges, each Citizen is free to participate in this network as little or as much as he pleases.

  • The systems and structures of the Noble Nation creates a conducive environment for the orderly, peaceful well-being of the People.
    However the true nobility of the nation is attained to only by the Love, Compassion and Appreciation that is established in the hearts and minds of the individuals and the society as a whole.
    This is essentially the minimizing of Social Entropy which is fundamental for peace and wellbeing.
    In support of this, the Noble Society must always side with and encourage the path of love, compassion and appreciation in all its endeavors.

  • Next to Sovereign Individual existence, the most fundamental to human existence is that of associating with each other. The Noble Nation respects and recognizes the the Association of Persons in all its myriad forms.
    So as to simplify, regulate and support their coming into being, existence and dissolution, the Noble Nation provides standardized frameworks for the four most common types of associations, namely…   
    Family Association The basis for the establishment of a family
    Ownership Association akin to todays corporations
    Meritocratic Association ideal for executive and professional organizations and teams
    Democratic Association The Noble Nation itself is a Democratic Association of all its Individual Citizen Members.

  • In traditional society, success and social status is measured primarily by wealth, fame and power. In a Noble Society, while these material metrics of success still exist, the predominant metric of success is Social Merit.
    Whilst wealth could be considered a measure of the amount of value an individual has amassed for himself, social merit is a measure of the amount of value an individual has created for society.
    By virue of the above, success in a Noble Society is reflected by the value one has created for Society thereby the accumulation of Social Merit.
    Every citizen in the Noble Nation has a merit rating. Citizens can gift Merit to other citizens. Merit is always gifted as a gesture of showing gratitude, appreciation and respect. It is never gifted in goodwill or out of compassion.
    Gifting Merit is an act that gains Merit to both the giver and the receiver.
    Giving negative Merit can be used to express disappointment.

  • Apart from the Root Laws which are inviolable, the Noble Society also defines conduct that is deemed Honorable and Dishonorable.
    Society encourages and rewards Honorable conduct primarily by awarding Social Merit that in turn brings many benefits and privileges to the receiver.
    Similarly, Dishonorable conduct results in the loss of Social Merit.

  • In a Noble Nation, Justice is defined as the Maximizing of Net Social Benefit.
    Combining the above with the principle of information rationality, it is obvious that punishment rarely delivers justice; instead punishment leads to the systemic degradation of society.
    As such, there is Restraint, Restitution and Rehabilitation – but there is no concept of punishment.
    The duty of the Judiciary is to protect the society, rehabilitate individuals, and bring about restitution for any harm done.
    An individual may be restrained by judicial order whenever there is a material threat of Root Law being violated by that individual, in order to protect society and not to punish.

    There is no limit to the credit available to an individual though the types, quantities, frequency and value of products and services that may be charged can be limited.

    The Noble Nation recognizes that education is a lifelong process and that it is imperative for every Citizen to have access to best in class education.
    To this end, the Education Framework is established, which is a rich, powerful platform on which all educational products and services can be delivered to an established national standard
    – Open framework that brings together expertise from all public and private sector organizations to develop and fine tune best in class programs for learning
    – Open platform on which educational institutes can build robust, profitable businesses while dlivering value to learners and the society
    – Standardized but loosely coupled course and program structures that can be customized to each individuals pace, requirements and goals.
